The excursion lasts around 4 hours and is free of charge.<br \/>\nOn the way to the Dinosaur, we stop at the Likananta\u00ef viewpoint to admire this jagged geological formation, then cross the Valley of Patience to enter the Valley of the Moon through the back door of the Salt Cordillera, where we take a few walks to admire the striking relief of this fascinating corner of the desert.<br \/>\nA stop at the Magic Bus, a witness to the valley&#8217;s mining activity, is also an opportunity to visit part of the quarry and listen to the cracking rock !<br \/>\nWe head for the Grande Dune, climb up and walk along the ridge to enjoy the spectacular view, then descend the Grande Dune back to the vehicle.<br \/>\nWe pick up the trail again, skirting and crossing the salt river and gradually reaching the sandy areas, the relief gradually fading and we reach the Ayllu de Tulor, stop under a hundred-year-old Algarrobo facing the majestic Andes mountain range and have a snack.<br \/>\nReturn to San Pedro.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9:00 am to 01:00 pm<\/li>\n<li>PICKUP : Hotel<\/li>\n<li>DROP OFF : hotel<\/li>\n<li>ALTITUDE: 2,443 &#8211; 2,550 m<\/li>\n<li>DIFFICULTY: Easy level<\/li>\n<li>INCLUDED: Snacks and drinks. Further on, a stop at the Tropic of Capricorn for a few explanations, for example, why are deserts located in the tropics ? Then on to Socaire, the last village before the Argentine border, where we enter the gold-coloured Puna, cross the Andean plateau to the Tujaito lagoon and stop off at the mirador.<\/p>\n<p>We then return to the Salar de Talar, for an hour&#8217;s walk to the famous Red Stones. At the foot of the salar, you&#8217;ll be close to vicu\u00f1as.<\/p>\n<p>On the way back, we head for the sumptuous Miniques and Miscanti Lagoons. Along the way, you&#8217;ll meet guanacos, rheas and, with a bit of luck, vizcachas and foxes.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll encounter an abundance of flora, including cachiyuyo, chachacoma, ricarica and pingopingo&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>After visiting the high-altitude lagoons, the descent takes us back down to the salar, ending with a visit to the Chaxa lagoon, home to numerous pink flamingos &#8211; a feast for the eyes!<\/p>\n<p>Return to San Pedro.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SCHEDULE: 09:00 am \u2013 05:00 pm<\/li>\n<li>PICKUP : Hotel<\/li>\n<li>DROP OFF: Hotel<\/li>\n<li>ALTITUDE: 2,443 m &#8211; 4,300 m<\/li>\n<li>DIFFICULTY: Medium level<\/li>\n<li>INCLUDES: Snacks, lunch (main course and dessert), drinks.
